One size doesn’t fit all! How can you ensure that your instruction meets the needs of all your students? This workshop presents an introduction to differentiating instruction and provides an overview of various instructional techniques. This workshop is a pre-requisite to Session Two.

Goal

The goal of this workshop is to provide an overview of differentiated instruction, including the rationale and anticipated outcomes of its use.

Objectives

By the end of Session One, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the definition and purpose of differentiating instruction for adult learners;
  2. Explore how differentiating instruction operates in the classroom, including specific instructional examples for a variety of content areas in adult education; and
  3. Select key concepts, guiding principles, essential questions, and desired outcomes for differentiating instruction.
